The present news regarding COVID-19 and the increase of positive cases in Pima County is something I don’t want to take lightly. This is a year we have all had to become more adaptive and better at using the “eraser end of our pencil”, so to speak.

Is church on a break? That's what it feels like right now. It's now been over a month since we've gathered for worship and other church-related activities. And in a certain sense of what you and I might commonly think of church--yes, much is on a break. Consider all that we've postponed--Sunday worship gatherings, weekly Life Groups in homes, shared meals with others, meaningful fellowship with new and old friends, Magnify nights, and our cherished monthly prayer on the second Sundays. But, what if all those things were merely expressions of our identity, not the core of our identity?

One of the great privileges and responsibilities of church membership is the selection of new elders and deacons. We will hold a brief blind-ballot election, November 10th, during both worship services.

Next Family Weekend is coming up November 23-24 The gospel creates a healthy community of rich diversity. It is our privilege to worship God together as we live out our identity as His brought-together people. In Jesus Christ, we are one spiritual family and therefore we welcome all from Holy Cross to participate with us on this special weekend. Join us for a "Friendsgiving" potluck in the park and family-integrated worship on Sunday.

Our year-end “Give Thanks” offering is back for 2019. This is when we commit 20% of all gifts given to the general fund in the months of November and December to outward-focused ministries like local and international missionaries, church-planting, and mercy ministries. Last year our “Give Thanks” offering generated over $22,000 with a 2018 total of $33,000 towards outward- focused ministry.
