Jesus says

When you read Mark’s gospel account, you’ll notice how often Jesus commands people to do one thing or another. Whether it’s his command to repent (Mark 1:15), follow me (Mark 1:17), do not be afraid (Mark 5:36), or to proclaim the gospel (Mark 16:15)—we see that Mark’s account of Jesus’ public ministry is meant to demonstrate that Jesus Christ is the authoritative, miracle-working Son of God.
