Tips for grace-filled conversations

We are committed to a patient and appropriately cautious process of re-engaging together as a church with in-person gatherings. As of Sunday, June 7th, we will enter into a modified version of our 3-Phase plan.

This phase is best understood as a mixture of online and small in-person gatherings for those who desire to participate. Please read below for how to participate with us.

What is new in this phase?

  • Addition of Sunday evening Communion Service from 4:30 - 5:10pm (≤ 40 minutes)
  • All ages welcome (no supervised childcare will be provided)
  • Our nursery will be open for moms/dads and fussy infants (un-staffed)
  • Attendance is limited to 50 people (including children)
  • Registration is strongly encouraged.

How we strive to keep you safe

  • Intensified cleaning and disinfecting of common surfaces and often touched items.
  • Hand sanitizer stations at every room including the entrance and exit of the sanctuary.
  • Increased space between seating and rows to allow for appropriate social distancing.
  • Signs prominently displayed with various ways to love our neighbor through commonsense hygiene and social distancing practices.

Commonly Asked Questions

Is the communion service a substitute for our Sunday morning worship? No. Our communion service will be in addition to our Sunday morning worship. We will continue to provide our virtual worship service and encourage families to gather for home worship.

For how long will we hold communion services? It's hard to put a timeline to it, but for at least 3 weeks. We will continue to evaluate and assess our guidelines and social climate as we plan to re-engage with in-person Sunday morning worship.

Can vulnerable individuals participate? We strongly ask vulnerable individuals to use strong precaution and discernment. Such individuals may choose to engage in this gathering but should strongly consider avoiding crowds where social distancing is not possible. Vulnerable individuals may be described (but not limited to) elderly individuals and those with underlying health conditions.

How can we love our neighbor as we gather and consider the needs of others?I'm glad you asked! See the graphic below for some helpful practices we encourage all to follow when we gather. These will also be prominently displayed in the church welcome area.
